HomeTown Sports (Channel 81)
On of October 2, 2009 we have launched HomeTown Sports Indiana on channel 81. HomeTown Sports Indiana will feature Indiana High School, College and Professional sports. Programming includes Wabash College Football, UIndy Football & Basketball, Marian University Football, Indianapolis Indians, High School Soccer, IUPUI sports and four High School Football Games Weekly, including a simulcast of WTHR's Operation Football Live game of the Week. Customers with the Digital Variety Pack will be able to view this channel.
Five New HD Channels Launching
Versus HD, Speed HD, Golf Channel HD, Cartoon Network HD and Fox News Channel HD are now on on the Bright House Networks digital system. All new HD channels will be available to Bright House Networks digital customers on the company’s Free HDTV Tier.
Versus HD: Ch. 772
Versus HD is a 1080p high-definition simulcast of Versus that launched in 2007. Previously launched as the Outdoor Life Network in 1995 to air fishing, hunting and related outdoor sports programming, today Versus telecasts football, basketball, baseball, bike racing, hockey, Olympic sports and combat sports action.
SPEED HD: Ch. 764
SPEED HD is a 720p high-definition simulcast of SPEED that launched in early 2008. SPEED telecasts coverage of auto racing, from live Formula One racing to NASCAR-related shows. Primarily devoted to auto racing coverage, SPEED is also the exclusive U.S. broadcaster of popular shows “24 Hours of Daytona,” “24 Hours of Le Mans,” “Petit Le Mans,” “NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race” and the “Gatorade Duels at Daytona.”
Golf Channel HD: Ch. 737
Golf Channel HD is a 1080p high-definition simulcast of Golf Channel that launched in 2007. Worldwide, Golf Channel is available in more than 100 million households, telecasting many U.S. and European circuit tournaments, golf news, instructional programming and more.
Cartoon Network HD: Ch. 745
Cartoon Network HD is a 1080p high-definition simulcast of Cartoon Network. Created by Turner Broadcasting and launched in 1992, Cartoon Network airs animated programming for children and live-action programming, including children’s movies.
Fox News Channel HD: Ch. 759
Fox News Channel HD is 720p high-definition simulcast of Fox News Channel that launched in 2008. Owned by Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of News Corporation, Fox News Channel is available to more than 100 million households in the U.S. Created in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch and broadcast out of its New York City studios, Fox News Channel airs popular news, analysis and opinion shows including “Fox & Friends,” “America's Newsroom,” “Happening Now,” “The Live Desk,” “Studio B with Sheppard Smith,” “Glenn Beck,” “The O'Reilly Factor,” “Hannity” and “On the Record with Greta Van Sustersen.”
V-me (Channel 115)
V-me entertains and informs Latino families in Spanish with primetime drama, music, sports, current affairs and Latin cinema, along with world class kids, food, lifestyle and nature. MLB Network - HD
MLB Network is specialty channel, primarily owned by Major League Baseball, set to launch in HD on April 1, 2009. MLB Network expects to carry 26 live baseball games in 2009 on Thursday nights.
Other programming will include studio programming, international and development league games, and archival material. Also in the works is a nightly news and highlight show patterned after ESPN's Baseball Tonight.
MLB-HD will be located on the Digital Tier (channel 763), free to our Digital customers!
